Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This policy explains what information Rank Hotelier (“Rank Hotelier”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers the website, the free diagnostic and the contact form. Our website is intended for hotel owners, operators and their teams.

Information you give us

We only receive what you choose to send us:

  • Contact form: your name, hotel, work email and message.
  • Resources newsletter: your work email, if you subscribe to receive new guides.
  • Free diagnostic: your hotel’s name, website, city and state; your name, job title, work email and phone number; details about the property, such as its type, brand, number of rooms, average daily rate and occupancy; your channel mix and OTA commission; and your marketing channels, budget, booking engine, goals and any notes you add.

The diagnostic sends us your answers at two points: when you complete the contact details step, so we can follow up if you don’t finish, and when you submit the questionnaire. Each form submission also includes the address of the page you sent it from and a note on whether it looks automated (based on how quickly it was sent and on a hidden field that only automated programs fill in), which we use to spot spam. Please don’t include sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver pages securely, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

If you accept analytics cookies, HubSpot’s tracking code and Google Analytics record the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site (for example, the referring website or campaign), and your approximate location and device. If you later send us a form, HubSpot links this visit history to your contact record; Google Analytics is only told that a form was sent, never your details. If you decline, neither is loaded. See Cookies.

How we use your information

  • To prepare your diagnostic, send it to you and schedule a call to review it.
  • To reply to your messages and follow up about our services.
  • To email you new guides from our Resources section, if you subscribed. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.
  • To manage our relationship with your hotel and keep business records.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • To protect the website against spam, abuse and security incidents, and to meet legal obligations.

You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf:

  • HubSpot, Inc. — our CRM. It receives contact form and diagnostic submissions, stores contact records, notifies us of new submissions and, if you accept analytics cookies, provides website analytics.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and protects it from attacks.
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics, which provides website statistics if you accept analytics cookies, and Google Workspace, our email provider, which carries submission notifications and our correspondence with you.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use analytics cookies from HubSpot and Google Analytics only if you select “Accept” in the cookie notice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics cookies stay off unless you turn them on in Cookie settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights; we will honor them as required, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising them.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and diagnostic information for as long as we need it to respond to you, deliver the diagnostic and manage our business relationship. After that we delete or anonymize it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Security

We use established providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We and our service providers may process your information in the United States and in other countries where we or they operate. When we transfer it, we take steps to keep it protected as this policy describes.

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Our site links to social networks and other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will also point them out on the website.
